Opera, up close. 🕯️🥂

Spend Saturday evening surrounded by art and candlelight as Virginia Opera’s Herndon Foundation Emerging Artists fill Lemon Tree Gallery with some of the greatest music in opera and Broadway.

Arias & Duets opens our new Candlelight Concert Series with soprano Maggie Kinabrew, mezzo-soprano Melanie Dubil, baritone Joel Clemens, and tenor Douglas Culclasure, accompanied by Italian pianist Oleg Bellini.

With ch*****ne and dessert included and limited seating, this is an intimate evening of opera you won’t want to miss.

Opera returns to Lemon Tree this Saturday, as we open our new Candlelight Concert Series and launch Arts Enter Cape Charles' 30th Anniversary 2026-2027 Season. 🕯️🥂

A look back at last year's unforgettable Arias & Duets. This Saturday, Virginia Opera's Herndon Foundation Emerging Artists return to Lemon Tree, including returning performers Maggie Kinabrew and Melanie Dubil, and also featuring baritone Joel Clemens and tenor Douglas Culclasure, accompanied by Italian pianist Oleg Bellini.

What a wonderful evening at Lemon Tree Gallery! Thank you to everyone who joined us for Friday’s exhibition opening: "Autumn is a second spring, when every leaf is a flower" (Albert Camus). 🍂

Bridgetown Sounds filled the gallery with classic favorites, and friends and neighbors came together to enjoy the new art. 🎶

Special thanks to volunteer Michael Flanagan for hanging the exhibition and to the artists who bring so much beauty. 🎨

Enjoy live music by Bridgetown Sounds, light refreshments, and an evening with our creative community.

Bridgetown Sounds is an acoustic group featuring Mark Allen on lead vocals, Shelley Hunt and Jean Flynn on lead and backing vocals, Brad Leavitt on bass and guitar, Terry Flynn on lead guitar, and Tim Hunt on lead vocals and rhythm. Based in Vaucluse Shores and Machipongo, Virginia, the band performs timeless hits from the 1960s through the 2000s, including favorites by Jimmy Buffett, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Seals & Crofts.
