Emeline Rochefeuille spent her formative years relishing island life on La Réunion, one of France’s overseas territories in the Indian Ocean. Immersed in a culture that values nature, diversity, collaboration, and simplicity, she grew up dancing to the traditional beats of Séga, Maloya, and Zouk, shaping her identity and heritage around music and dance. At the age of 12, Emeline ventured into the competitive dance realm through Ballroom dancing at Verodanse Studio, specializing in Solo Latin under the guidance of Mark Dooley, the pioneer of International Solo Dance Sport in South Africa. While pursuing sociology and anthropology studies in 2009, she stumbled upon a video of Jordan & Tatiana and was captivated by West Coast Swing, leading her to join the Mad Swingers association, compete, perform in team routines, and teach under the mentorship of Jerôme Fernandez and Maxence Martin. Balancing a career as a research executive in advertising at Ipsos Paris with her passion for dance, Emeline immersed herself in the dance world as a competitor, teacher, deejay, and photographer for three years. In late 2016, she embarked on a new chapter as a full-time nomadic professional dancer alongside Jakub, embracing the thrilling journey ahead.
