Every child deserves the opportunity to play, grow and feel like part of a team. 🏀

Registration is open for CRRC’s Youth Basketball League for 1st–8th grade students! The season will include skill development, coaching, teamwork and eight weekend games—all right here in Canyon Lake.

The full registration cost is $125 per child, but scholarships are available for Canyon Lake-area families when cost would prevent a child from participating. Simply select the scholarship option on the registration form and wait to receive additional instructions before completing payment in GloFox.

Young athletes in 1st–8th grades are invited to build their skills, learn teamwork and enjoy a season of local basketball right here in Canyon Lake!

🏀 Skills assessments: October 17
🏀 Practices begin: Week of October 19
🏀 Games begin: January 2027
🏀 Eight weekend games
🏀 Registration: $125 per child

With just nine full-time employees and more than 12,000 residents impacted annually, volunteers truly power the CRRC ecosystem. 🧡

We currently need volunteers at all three locations, especially:

🛍️ **Thrift Store:** Merchandising, pricing, sorting, and processing donations
🥫 **Food Pantry Warehouse:** Wednesday and Friday mornings
🏀 **Recreation Campus:** Youth sports, fitness, physical or occupational therapy, sports medicine, physical education, and nutrition coaching

What does need look like in a community as beautiful as Canyon Lake? Sometimes, it is easy to miss.

Tiffany Quiring, Executive Director, recently joined Cody Knowlton, President and CEO of the Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio, on the Together for Good podcast to talk about CRRC, the often-invisible challenges of rural living, and what it truly takes to build a healthy, connected community across 81 miles of shoreline—with no public transportation.

This conversation was especially meaningful because Baptist Health Foundation does far more than talk about stronger communities—they invest in them. Their tremendous $100,000 grant to CRRC is strengthening the foundation beneath our work, helping us remain responsive as more neighbors turn to us for food, financial assistance, wellness opportunities, and connection.

We are deeply grateful to the Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio for believing that health extends far beyond the walls of a hospital—and for believing in CRRC and the people of Canyon Lake. 🧡
