Eclectic.

That is a word I hear often in the gallery and I love it.

I serve a diverse community of artists and clients. Variety is important. I want people to find what they love but also to surprise themselves by being drawn to something unexpected.

Which piece or pieces draw you in?

7 years later and I still love this logo.

When I look at it I see so much of what Menagerie on Main is….eclectic, varied, traditional with whimsy, professional but unpretentious.

It feels welcoming.

To me this logo says “There is no one way with art. It all…you all…belong”

Everyone deserves the experience of art: making it, appreciating it, owning it.

A lot of galleries educate people about art. At Menagerie on Main, we are more interested in liberating people from the idea that they’re doing art wrong.

Funny how a logo can say all of that.

This morning I had the pleasure of facilitating another commission project between artist Raymond Pickens and longtime clients Gary and Christine Lamb.
I’ve had the opportunity to watch the Lambs’ appreciation for original artwork grow over the years. They understand that collecting art is about more than filling a wall. It’s about supporting artists, investing in creativity, and bringing something deeply personal into a space.

One of the greatest privileges of my work is standing between the artist and the client, helping translate a vision into reality while ensuring both sides feel heard, supported, and excited about the process. When the artist is just as happy as the client, I know we’ve accomplished something special.

Commissions require a tremendous amount of trust and vulnerability. Clients are trusting an artist to bring an idea to life, and artists are trusting themselves to create something meaningful and deeply personal. We often talk about the talent and determination it takes to be an artist, but we don’t talk enough about the courage. Commissions are not for the weak.

Commissions exemplify my favorite aspects of what I do at Menagerie on Main…connecting people, supporting artists, and helping bring artwork into existence that has a soul and a story before it ever gets hung on a wall.

Feeling pretty grateful.

We are the perfect weekend stop.

Come, grab a coffee or glass of wine (we have both!), and simply enjoy what being surrounded by beautiful art feels like.

Father’s Day is coming!

Why not skip the tie and go straight to meaningful and unique gifts of art to show dad just how special he is.

Art speaks volumes. It says “We think you are special enough to deserve something made with passion and heart.”

Menagerie on Main has what you need.

We will also be set up at the Georgia Outdoor Festival and Expo at Veteran’s Park in Canton, Ga over Father’s Day weekend!

Take Dad to do something fun AND buy something remarkable. ❤️

What you don’t see when you visit a gallery:

• Artist communications and applications
• Event planning
• Marketing
• Hanging and rehanging artwork
• website/social media planning and creating
• Coffee
• More coffee
• Probably some wine
• Cleaning and maintenance
• Last-minute problem solving
• Big dreams scribbled onto little pieces of paper
• Other things scribbled on little pieces of paper
• A lot of challenges, a lot of struggle, and so much celebrating

Behind every piece of art on the wall is a whole lot of things that happen behind the scenes.

This room is where a lot of that magic happens. And I love it so much.

If you could peek behind the scenes of any business, what would you want to see?

It’s a family affair spreading the word about Menagerie on Main!

Today my daughter created signs around downtown Canton, pointing people toward the gallery. Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that people can’t visit a place they don’t know exists.

One family stopped in recently because their kids spotted the signs and shouted, “Look! It’s an adventure!”

Honestly, that’s exactly what I hope Menagerie feels like.

Not a store. Not a museum. An adventure ❤️

A place where you wander, discover something unexpected, meet an artist, make something, question something, and leave inspired.

So if you spot one of our signs around downtown, follow it. You never know what you’ll find when you walk through the door.

Have you seen them yet? Let me know where! Take a pic and tag us or come in and let me know and you’ll be entered into a drawing for a special art surprise!
