Not all my mistakes are disastrous. This was supposed to be my metallic green glaze but I mistook cobalt oxide for copper oxide. It did cost me considerably because cobalt oxide is ten times as expensive as copper. I won’t be keeping this as one of my assortment of colors but a guarded few pieces will wear it as long as it lasts.

The pitcher has been bought by a lovely couple from Adairsville, Ga. This 3 qt. pitcher stands 8 1/2” tall with applied grapes and finished in my Harvest Gold glaze. It is dated 1999.

UPDATE: SOLD to a loving family in Kingston, Ga. I took my kilns to the manufacturer yesterday to have them refurbished....

UPDATE: SOLD to a loving family in Kingston, Ga.
I took my kilns to the manufacturer yesterday to have them refurbished. On my way back I stopped at an Antique Shop and here’s what I saw. This will make someone a great Christmas gift.
The date on bottom is 2001.
