Sioux River Folk Festival The Sioux River Folk Festival is an annual festival put on by South Dakota Friends of Traditional Music. The festival is celebrating its 46th year in 2026.

The 41st Annual Sioux River Folk Festival is over the weekend of August 6th, 7th, & 8th. The festival is held at the beautiful Newton Hills State Park (6 miles south of Canton, SD).
