So excited to announce that this morning I was awarded an IEA SCORE grant! My proposal will use my childhood dollhouse as the bridge for creating art collaborations in miniature between my middle school students and amateur/professional artists in my town/region/state. A little background: my dad and I made this dollhouse when I was about 12. For the past 40 years, it has been stored in this wood box in garages and barns in South Carolina and Illinois. I unpacked it last winter after deciding to use it in my classroom… unfortunately the years were not gentle on it!

Hi everyone! I have created this page for The Mini Museum Project that will kick off this fall at Ingersoll Middle School in Canton, IL. My goal to use miniatures to connect my middle school students with local artists in the west central Illinois area.

I have just applied for a grant (fingers crossed!) so there will be more to come!
