Originally established as the Crawford Theatre, the Rialto Theatre first opened its doors on Christmas Day in 1912. In 1994, the Bradford County Regional Arts Council (BCRAC) purchased the Rialto Theatre. On December 31, 2021, the BCRAC transferred ownership of the Rialto Theatre to the newly reorganized nonprofit, Rekindle the Spirit. In May, 2013 the Theatre was temporarily shut down in order to convert from the old industry standard 35 mm projector to a fully digital projector with 3D capabilities. In addition to the projector conversion, the Rialto also underwent a mini renovation. The 2021-2022 season continues with renewed energy at the Rialto Theatre. In January 2022 the Rekindle The Spirit organization of Canton became the new owners of the theatre with it becoming the Western Bradford County Rialto Theatre.
