⭐️ New Instructor Spotlight ⭐️

Hello Everyone! My name is Miss Abby and I am thrilled to be returning to the Encore Dance Academy instructor team this season. I previously taught at Encore a few years ago, and I am so excited to be back working with such an amazing studio family. This season, I will be teaching several of our Pre-K classes and look forward to sharing my love of dance with our youngest dancers. I recently graduated from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and currently work as a Neonatal Intermediate Care Registered Nurse at Saint Francis Medical Center Children’s Hospital in Peoria. Throughout my life, I have had the opportunity to participate in a variety of dance camps, pageants, and performance experiences, which helped cultivate my passion for performing and working with children. Through my pageant involvement, I have assisted with dance clinics, choreographed opening numbers, and participated in numerous dance performances myself. These experiences have strengthened my love for teaching and helping young performers build confidence both on and off the stage. I am honored to be returning to Encore Dance Academy and cannot wait to begin this season!

⭐️ New Instructor Spotlight ⭐️

My name is Courtney, and I am so excited to be returning to the Encore Dance Academy instructor team! This season, I'll be teaching some of the Pre-K and Kindergarten/1st Grade classes, and I can't wait to share my love of dance with these amazing little dancers!
I have trained in dance for many years and have performed in numerous recitals and productions throughout my dance career. One of my favorite memories is performing a tap routine to River Dance. I previously taught Advanced Hip Hop at Encore and also assisted with our Kindergarten and 1st Grade classes alongside Miss Becky. I'm thrilled to be back in the studio and look forward to helping our youngest dancers build confidence, creativity, and a love for dance.
Outside of the studio, I live in Canton with my husband, Colton, and our two children, Joelle and Brooks. I also work full-time as a Family Nurse Practitioner with OSF.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to return to the Encore family and can't wait to make this season a fun, encouraging, and memorable experience for all of my students. See you in the studio!

⭐️ New Instructor Spotlight! ⭐️

My name is Joc, and I am thrilled to be joining the incredible instructor team at Encore Dance Academy! Working with children has always been a true passion of mine, and I am so excited to combine that passion with my love for dance while helping each student grow in both confidence and technique.
Dance has been a part of my life since I was just two years old, and I began competing at the age of eight. Throughout my training, I have had the opportunity to study a wide variety of dance styles. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong technical versatility, performance skills, and a deep appreciation for the art of dance.
Following high school, I continued my dance career as a member of the Redline Express Dance Team, where I danced for four years and proudly served as team captain for two seasons. In this leadership role, I choreographed two full halftime productions, multiple sideline routines, and two hip-hop performances while mentoring and encouraging my teammates both on and off the floor.
In addition to my dance experience, I recently earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science and will begin pursuing my Master's degree in Child Life at Illinois State University in Fall 2026. My education has strengthened my understanding of child development and reinforced my passion for creating a positive, supportive environment where every child can grow and succeed.
I am incredibly grateful for the experiences that have shaped me as both a dancer and leader, and I cannot wait to share my knowledge, enthusiasm, and love of dance with the students and families at Encore. I look forward to an amazing season and to becoming part of such a talented and welcoming dance family!

✨ Disney Recap: Days 2 & 3 ✨
The magic continued for our Encore dancers as they took the stage at Disney's Theater in the Wild at Animal Kingdom…one of Disney's largest performance venues! 🌟 Our dancers had the incredible opportunity to perform not one, but two of our choreographed routines, showcasing all of their hard work, passion, and dedication.
They also learned an exciting opening number from professional choreographers, participated in a professional photo shoot, and experienced the unforgettable opportunity of going backstage at Magic Kingdom before stepping into the spotlight in the Magic Kingdom Parade!
From breathtaking performances to once-in-a-lifetime experiences, these two days were filled with unforgettable memories, endless smiles, and so many laughs, so much joy, and so much magic. The friendships made, the confidence gained, and the memories created are ones that will be treasured for a lifetime.
We couldn't be more proud of the way our dancers represented Encore every step of the way. These are the moments we will all look back on for years to come, and we're so grateful to have shared this incredible journey together. ❤️🖤✨

✨ Disney Recap: Day 1 ✨
What an incredible way to kick off our Walt Disney World adventure! Our dancers began the trip with an inspiring rehearsal led by professional choreographers, where they learned, grew, and prepared alongside industry professionals. It was an amazing opportunity to challenge themselves, and they represented Encore Dance Academy with incredible focus, dedication, and heart from the very first moment. We couldn't be more proud of each and every one of them. ❤️
The magic didn't stop there! The evening ended with an unforgettable VIP celebration where Toy Story Land was open exclusively to the dancers and their families. From thrilling rides to unforgettable laughs and special moments together, it was the perfect way to celebrate the start of an incredible week.
Day 1 was filled with learning, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime…and this was only the beginning of our Disney adventure. ✨
