This wet cyanotype was interrupted by an unexpected spring rain — cutting its exposure short and gently washing away some of the chemicals. The result? A softer, more ethereal image than I originally intended.

I often say that wet cyanotypes are a collaboration between the elements, and this piece is proof. The streaks, the ghosted textures, the imperfect blues — all shaped by rain, time, and chance.

Not every artwork turns out how I imagined… and that’s exactly why I keep making them.
