Canton Community Theatre

Canton Community Theatre We are Canton Community Theatre - check here for updates on our events and occasional opportunities for the surrounding area! People came. They clapped.

Canton Community Theatre started innocently enough in 2001 when several parents worked together on a 5th Grade play, The Sound of Music, and wondered “Why is there no adult theatre in Canton? After all, almost all our surrounding towns have community theatre groups, why not Canton?” We suspected there was plenty of untapped talent in town, so we decided to test the waters with a small but beloved

musical; You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. They even laughed. We were ecstatic! But nothing prepared us for our first summer show, The Music Man. Over 125 people auditioned to be in the show… and the sold out audiences told us, we had started a good thing in Canton. Now 16 years and over 60 shows and events later, we have grown, evolved, made lots of friends and touched many many lives. We put the Community first in our Community Theatre and are always looking for new and exciting projects that make Canton a great place to live. We can’t be a community theatre without community involvement and look forward to your contribution. Come join us, be in a show, help out backstage or just come and be entertained. You can also participate by joining our meetings, volunteering for a committee or sending in your feedback. We would love to hear from you so together we can achieve more for Our Community. We are the Canton Community Theatre. If you would like to become part of Canton Community Theatre or if you have any questions please contact us at [email protected].

For 10 hard-luck Texans, a new lease on life is so close they can touch it. Under a scorching sun for days on end, armed with nothing but hope, humor and ambition, they'll fight to keep at least one hand on a brand-new truck in order to win it. In the hilarious, hard-fought contest that is Hands on a Hardbody only one winner can drive away with the American Dream. Inspired by the true events of the acclaimed 1997 documentary of the same name by S.R. Bindler, produced by Kevin Morris and Bindler.
