Folks always giggle when they notice the flasks like they’re up to no good simply looking at them. But I giggle right back at them conspiringly.
Truthfully they can hold whatever liquid you’d like and their flat nature makes them easy to put in a pack on the go.

I love an artist’s sketchbook just as much as the completed pieces. Like an archive of unfinished stories, a map of their progress, a window into their minds. A dairy of sorts.

The bottom frame with “In the Forest” by Diaz de la Pena 1875 is what inspired this whole concept. It is such a beautiful painting with a warm, inviting landscape. I knew I wanted to put it on something so more people could enjoy the sunny glade too and framing it like this felt the most complementary.

The top frame shows “Landscape Between Storms” by Renoir 1875.

While boppin’ around Nashville last month in all the antique stores, I found glass tealight votives that fit down in a candlestick holder. As someone who loves a cozy candle and the way light plays with glass, I felt inspired to pair them with my version of a candlestick.

Since then I have scoured every antique store around looking for votives and have acquired quite the collection! Throwing something as tall and skinny as a candlestick is trickier than you might think and the likeliness of them warping to the side rather than staying straight is very present. Nevertheless, I’m very happy with how they’ve come out so far! This is exactly something I’d put on my mantle or bookshelf.
