For any club members coming out to Wings and Wheels tomorrow, I will be at the airport around 0830. If you’re bringing airplanes you can park in the covered spaces near the FBO and bring your gear in. We should be in the hangar located just west of the FBO office. Red arrow park. Blue check FBO. The Tri-State Model Flyers annual fly-in will be held June 12-13, 2026 at the club field located at 11902 Virginia Blvd, Cannonsburg, Ky. Gate opens at 9 AM. Food and drinks will be available. Spectator admission is free. Landing fee is $20 (AMA membership required) and includes a free meal. Raffle tickets will be available for a chance to win prizes.

TSMF club members, we have been invited to participate in the Wings & Wheels event at the Ashland Regional Airport. We will be able to set up a static RC airplane display inside one of the hangars. We’ve also been given a limited time, 12pm-1pm, to fly some demonstration flights. Flyers will be limited to TSMF club members only. This is a great opportunity to interact with the public and possibly gain members. Would love to see a good club turn out for this.

Slow Ultra Stick Fun Fly

Calling all Skyhawks members who own the E-Flite Slow Ultra Stick (SUS), we will be holding a casual Fun Fly competition to test your flying prowess and durability of your model! The competition will be a one model only competition, namely a stock standard SUS (2nd aileron servo setup allowed).
The competition will be 4 rounds and the winner will be decided on a points system.

Rounds will be:

1. 20 second motor run and land within a 15 foot square. Longest flight wins.

2. Takeoff and complete 3 rolls, 3 loops, and 3 turn spin, then land in 15 foot square. Quickest wins.

3. Limbo elimination, tape will be progressively lowered each sub round. The winner will be who gets lowest Limbo without cutting tape or touching ground.

4. Target practice (Spot Landing). One foot square target.

This is all about having fun with an easy to fly, relatively cheap model. There will be no losers, only degrees of winning!!

Tri State Model Flyers will be hosting our annual swap meet Sunday, March 29, 2026 at the club field, 11902 Virginia Blvd, Cannonsburg, Ky. Gates open at 9:00 AM. Also, we’ll be doing some Spring clean-up/mowing on Saturday, March, 28 at noon. Any club members that can help would be appreciated.
