The Walnut Grove – A Field of Opportunity, is a community centered, educational, and recreational venue where people with disabilities or special needs and their families and caregivers can learn, play, interact, enjoy, and relax. By providing a sensory-safe environment, children with all manner of disabilities can positively interact with nondisabled individuals, who can provide support, care, un

derstanding, and integration. The Walnut Grove includes a
1-acre inclusive playground, nature trails through the property wetlands and a bridge connecting to the MillCreek Park bike path. Future plans for the park are being developed as funding becomes available. The Walnut Grove is maintained and operated by a volunteer board member d community members. All funding for projects has been provided by the local community and foundations.

Join us for a fun morning of stories, community, and special visitors at The Walnut Grove!

We’ll kick off Story Time at 10 A.M. followed by:
🚒 A Cardinal Joint District Firetruck Visit
📚 A PLYMC Pop-Up Library Visit

Kids will have the chance to explore the firetruck, meet local firefighters, browse books from the library truck, and enjoy a morning of hands-on fun and learning.

Perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, and young children — families welcome!
