🍂 A little Monday morning fall inspiration!

With our very first Canterbury Challenge officially underway, we wanted to share a project that shows just how much personality you can add to a simple thrifted find.

This fall box was created using the Fall Festive Middy Transfer by Redesign with Prima, and we love how all the little autumn details came together—the leaves, pumpkins, acorns, and that sweet Hello Fall message. 🧡

A wooden box like this could be used for:

🍁 A fall centerpiece
🎃 Porch décor
🧺 Blankets or pillows
🌾 Florals and seasonal stems
🪵 A thrifted storage piece with a fresh new look

One of my favorite things about decorating for fall is that it doesn’t have to be expensive.

Some of my favorite projects have started with a $5 thrift store find, an old basket from the garage, or a piece of furniture that someone else was ready to give up on.

That’s the fun of this challenge.

We’re not looking for perfection. We’re looking for creativity. ❤️

Welcome to the very first Canterbury Challenge! 🎉

Each month we’ll announce a new creative theme to inspire all of us to pull out our paints, moulds, transfers, decoupage papers, and favorite supplies. Whether you’re brand new to crafting or have been creating for years, this is a fun way to challenge yourself, share ideas, and inspire others in our amazing community.

❤️ Today, we’re asking our Canterbury Creative family for a little help. ❤️

As so many of you know, we’ve spent the past several years fighting to save our sweet Sophia’s life. At just 13 years old, she has endured more surgeries, hospital stays, and medical challenges than any child ever should. She recently came through one of the biggest and scariest surgeries of her life, and thankfully, she is stable. ❤️

Being home and seeing her smile again has meant I’ve finally been able to get back to doing what I love—creating.

But during those long months…and especially in the quiet, dark hours of the night when fear and anxiety took over…there was one friend who was always there.

Jenny.

She answered countless late-night texts, listened to me cry, celebrated every little victory, and reminded me to keep believing when things felt impossible. She has been one of my biggest blessings, and I honestly don’t know if she realizes just how much she has helped me.

Now it’s our turn to be there for her.

Jenny’s husband, Dave, is courageously battling cancer. She has put her career on hold so she can care for him and be by his side through every treatment and appointment.

Their family is holding a fundraiser to help with expenses, and I’d be so grateful if our amazing Canterbury Creative family would help me support someone who has supported me.

🌻 I can already picture these sunflowers on journals, bookends, trays, and all kinds of home décor. Every project has a completely different personality depending on how you paint and finish them.

That’s one of my favorite things about the Golden Solstice Sunflower Mould. Use every piece together for a statement project, or mix and match the flowers and leaves for something that’s completely your own.

It’s made from premium food-grade silicone and works beautifully with resin, air-dry clay, hot glue, fondant, chocolate, casting compounds, and more.
