Spring Hollow Art Gallery & Studio is not just a typical art gallery featuring exquisite handpicked, hand made art and items from local as well as international artists, but it is also a divine space to come create your own art as well. We also offer a variety of social and instructional classes featuring meditation, painting, pottery, and bead circles to help inspire and get your creative juices flowing! Spring Hollow is a place to find your inner artist. Kate is the owner and a retired PhD in early childhood education. She taught children to discover themselves through the arts and social development founding schools in Bangkok and Nashville Tennessee, Spring Hollow Early Learning Center. She believes that all people are natural born artists, but life has a way of stifling the artist in all of us. As young children, we are stifled by our adult caregivers in our lives that expect us to learn to draw a tree as they see it, not accepting our interpretations of the tree. As adults, we’re told to focus on more pressing matters such as bills, work, family- that our creative needs are surpassed by our survival needs. She believes our creative needs and our survival needs are one in the same. No matter your age, identity or responsibilities, you can unlock the creative artist that yearns to be free! Come check us out, we have everything from meditation, painting, pottery, jewelry creating and music- we’ll help you find it.

My cousin Mary Margaret and I will be bringing our imported wares to Holden Beach this week. There will be another open house this Thursday September 3 from 4 to 7 at my sister’s home at 117 Windjammer or by appointment if you can’t make the event. Hope to see my Holden Beach friends there.

This is a photo of Mary Margaret selling her beautiful tie- dye at my Grand Opening at my home in Candler NC. Many of her clothes began as half silk and half cotton white clothes created by my tailor in Hoian Vietnam. There will also be artwork created by Mary Margaret and my Asian artists. Plus, as always, you will be able to create a piece of jewelry out of my bead collection.

I will be returning to Candler on September 7 and have an open house on September 9 from 4 to 7. Please join me for some beading at the new Spring Hollow Art Gallery & Studio 165 Ridge Road.

It was a beautiful celebration yesterday and I am so very happy and grateful for our amazing turn out, beautiful weather, and seeing old friends and meeting new friends. I hope everyone had as good of time as I did.

“It is all about relationships.”

I do have a few additions to my own presentation:

Firstly I forgot to introduce my dear friend and amazing artist Joan Creviston who as Tom spoke about is the reason why I am here. She introduced us and I have so much gratitude and love for Joan and her amazing painting talent.

I did not draw attention to the open gallery dates that were listed on the program. I have fit these into my schedule at least once a month with the exception of November which is always my annual shopping and meditation month in Asia. You can always set an appointment to come to the gallery with me when I am in town or Lisa or Vonna when I am out of town.

Additionally, there will be art classes planned in the future including pottery painting etc.

Open gallery dates from 3 to 7:

Beading from 3 to 5:30
You can sit around the round tables inside or outside and create your personal creation out of my huge collection of beads from my travels.

Meditation 5:30 to 7
I share my experiences and knowledge from my vipassanas in Thailand and we enjoy a group meditation.

There will be art classes planned in the future including pottery painting etc.

I return to my vipassana meditation for my ten days of silence in November in Chiang Mai Thailand as I have done for twelve consecutive years. Tom joins me for two weeks before I go into the temple. We will be in Hoian Vietnam where my tailor Hiep Le and Ming silver jeweler Kim Yen create, Bangkok where my blue and white artist Kleddao creates and in Chiang Mai where my white clothing artist creates. After meditation, I return to Bali this year and will visit my painter Wayan.

I always pin my calendar to the top of my personal and business pages and share through instagram so friend me if you use social media.

I will be slowing down on my future travels because I have so found my happy place here on the Cole Farm. Thank you Marvin for welcoming me into your beautiful family.
