Upstate Chapel music venue at Canajoharie, NY Founded in 1862, Ss. Peter and Paul was the first Roman Catholic church settled in Canajoharie, New York. ft.

The present church building, at the corner of Cliff Street and Walnut Street in Canajoharie, is a fine example of simple gothic construction in limestone, with the actual limestone quarried directly onsite.The church proper, with approximately 5,000 sq. of worship space, is home to beautiful collection of Victorian-era stained glass windows and a 2-manual 12-rank Carey pipe organ. As of October 28th, 2010 (the feast of Ss. Simon and Jude), the church is privately owned. The 4000 sq. space is superb, acoustically and visually. This beautiful building is ready for your private wedding ceremony, club meetings, commencements, audio/video recording sessions, movie set, recitals, or presentations.

Please visit our fruit and produce cart at the church lawn at 63 Cliff Street. We have 4 varieties of apples, tomatoes, and pawpaws, all grown right here at the church! We also have eggplant, leeks, and pumpkins.

Pawpaws are a rare edible fruit - get them while they last!!! Did you know that the pawpaw is the largest edible fruit native to the United States and America's forgotten fruit? The fruit is enjoyed on its own but also used in many recipes as well.

A special Patriotic concert will take place this Friday, July 3rd at the Upstate Chapel on 63 Cliff Street at 7om. Please join us. Local musicians will be featured, An ice cream social will be held prior to the concert on the lawn at beginning at 6pm.

We need your help! Someone is sprat chalking the historic church and property while this hopefully can be removed without damage to the stone, we ask to please stop this. A report has been filed with the Canajoharie Police.

Save the date for our wonderful annual Irish concert. The date is Friday, March 13th at 7pm. We have a wonderful lineup of local musicians including Susan Crua and Norma Bowley, Fort Plain Library Ensemble, Our Lady of Hope Choir, Munster Pickles, Byron Nilsson and Malcolm Kogut, the Stonehouse Piper with guest singer, Brett and Shannon Dening, and Eric Stroud.

A vinatge letter to Santa mailbox has been placed by Santa's eleves at the Upstate Chapel (63 Cliff Street Canajharie, NY). Simply drop a letter to Santa or Christmas prayer request in the box with a return addess on your letter (no postage required). Santa will do his best to reply from the North Pole by Christmas. Deadline for submiiting letters is by the morning of December 18th.

Our wonderful community Christmas concert returns Friday, December 12th at 7pm. The concert is free and open to all and features local area musicians and your Christmas time favorite music. Doors open at 6:30pm. Light refreshments will be served.
