The CEEF is accepting preliminary interest for a new tenant in the Indian Trails Building on Main Street. As we are still in the midst of our restoration process we cannot provide many exact details but wanted the community to know that we will be accepting a new tenant when enough of the project has been completed.

If you or someone you know has or ever discussed interest in opening a business in the Indian Trails Building please fill out this interest survey. When a more concrete timeline of the project is available we will begin reaching out to the people who have filled out the survey.

The CEEF is excited for a new business to enrich our wonderful community, and it just might be YOURS!

Collecting information on potential tenants and their tentative business plan for the Indian Trails Building on Canaan Main Street. As more of the restoration project is completed the Canaan Events and Enrichment Foundation will follow up with more details and information.

Tragedy has struck our small community, and our hearts are heavy. Please join us in lifting this family up in prayer. All business, including executive session, will take place at the April meeting.

There will be an executive meeting from 6-6:15pm before the regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, March 5 at Indian-Kentuck Baptist Church.

An effort to save the historic Kremer House in Canaan brought Deena Schafer to Thursday’s Commissioners meeting to seek funding assistance from the county.

CEEF is in the middle of restoring the Indian Trails Building — a true staple of our community that once served as a grocery store, gas station, and restaurant for generations.

Thanks to your support, we’ve already made major improvements to the foundation and structure. 🙌
Now we’re moving into the next critical phase:
🛠 Replacing the stairs to the upper level.

These stairs aren’t just cosmetic — they’re essential for safety, access, and for us to qualify for the grants that will help us fully restore this historic building.
