Huge “Thank You” to everyone who stopped by to visit our Chrisp Creations booth this past weekend at the Sci-Fi Horror Fest, held in Vernon, NY!
I had been admittedly burning the candle at both ends for the past several weeks to prep for it, being our biggest event each year. In addition to drawing and painting thirty-five plus new pieces over the past several months, i also had the extreme pleasure of being asked to do a special piece by Tiffani Beth of Sci-Fi Horror Fest for David Howard Thornton (Art the Clown) and his fiance’ Jada. Though commissions are certainly not my “norm”, I couldn’t resist the opportunity, especially since Tiffani, Dennis, Melissa and all their volunteers from the event, have been so kind to Chrisp Creations since we began with them four years ago. The project was “secret” lol and after a few month of kicking around numerous ideas and drafts, we came up with the piece shown in the pics (which i also made to glows in the dark)!
It was great meeting with David and Jada afterwards as well as the other cast members of the ‘Terrifier’ franchise.
In addition I got to present my art to two gentlemen I am a huge fan of, Thom Matthews of ‘Return of the Living Dead’ and ‘Friday the 13th: Part 6’ as well as Lloyd Kaufman of ‘Toxic Avenger’ fame and so many other films i grew up on.
Both my wife (Missy) and I were undeniably physically exhausted when all was said and done Saturday night, yet also feeling incredibly happy about how well the entire event turned out. Met countless great folk all coming together to simply truly enjoy a common interest of entertainment.
Thanks again to all and we’re already so looking forward to next time.🙂
