The Annual Cameron Fishing Festival is the major fundraiser for the Cameron Lions Club. Founded in 1957, the Cameron Lions Club is Cameron Parish's longest standing civic organization. Our organization has supported charitable causes in Cameron Parish, in Southwest Louisiana and throughout the world. This year, we celebrate our 20th Annual Cameron Fishing Festival, which contributes greatly to the
se efforts. Some of the activities and organizations supported by the Cameron Lions Club are: activities and education of youth; the mission of the International Lions Club to help prevent blindness and other vision and hearing issues; the Lions Club Camp; the St. Nicholas Center; other endeavors for youth with special needs; and a variety of local and state civic projects. We seek ambassadors for not only our festival, but also our Cameron Lions Club, that will aid us in promoting our festival and charitable endeavors.
