portunity for performing artists to practice their "chops" in front of a similar talent base and industry peers. Purpose: Not to compete or compare, instead, to constantly prepare. What makes this ‘open mic’ event unique, is that the experience is exclusively tailored for actors practicing short monologues and/or skits, and gives screenwriters a chance to pair up with the registered talent to practice scene work. CHOPS will also alot a limited number of time slots to Comedians, Poets and Singers as well. Special invited guest from the community will include Film Makers, Screenwriters, Directors, Talent and Casting Agents and of course local and regional artists and talent. Beginning May 23rd, 2017, CHOPS Arts & Improv™ will make its debut at 6th Street Lounge, 109 N Sixth Street in the beautifully revitalized heart of Camden, NJ downtown near the waterfront. every fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm. Come be a part of the cultural renaissance at CHOPS, every fourth Tuesday of the month, at 6:30pm and enjoy themed food and cocktail specials by MyleStone Grill in an intimate indoor and outdoor rooftop setting. CHOPS will also offer performers “raw and/or edited” reel from their performance (fees apply). This is a valuable tool for actors as it can be used for future audition submissions. Actors will look forward to the opportunity to mingle and rehearse with other film industry professionals. From casting directors looking for talent to screen/TV writers looking to get a feel for their scenes, CHOPS will create an atmosphere that promotes growth and cultivates connections.
