We hope you can join us for our first life drawing workshop of the year! Gallery 263 invites our community across all ages to join a facilitated life drawing workshop with a clothed model. Come stretch, relax, observe and draw to kick off your weekend in peace and good company.

It is advised to bring your own materials (sketchbooks, pencils, graphite, etc), though some will be available for use. 10% of proceeds will be donated to the Family Van, a local nonprofit providing health and social services.

Dates: June 20 and July 11, 9:45 - 11:45 am
Cost: Sliding scale between $10 and $20, by cash or Venmo upon entry (no RSVP needed)

Join us for our CQ abundance opening reception this evening from 6-9 pm! 💚 Refreshments, snacks and ice cream from Zack’s .icecream will be provided.

This national exhibition juried by Jasper A. Sanchez features 22 artists across mediums who see beyond a world that is given. In the context of this show, q***r abundance is at once proclamation and a tool for liberation. It allures, celebrates and disorients, holding at the seams both grief and love.

All month long we will host related offerings, including an arts market on June 14 - where a host of LGBTQIA+ vendors will feature handmade art and adornments for the body and home - and an artist panel on June 25 with some of the minds behind the exhibition. We can’t wait to see you soon!

Just one week left to submit exhibition proposals! This series is the only way to be considered for a solo or curated group exhibition in our 700 sq ft gallery. This image “Ottowa” was part of Do It for the Boys, the first ever solo exhibition by Nathan Bolton . Exhibited in 2024 as part of our Exhibition Proposal Series, the show depicted the Los Angeles Rebellion, one of four original q***r rugby teams in the US. Bolton was a member for six years before being injured and channeling the experience into documentation.

Happy Pride! We are ecstatic to share Contemporary Q***r: Abundance is now on view through June 29.

A heartfelt thank you to Hannah Latham and all those who made Ripples in Still Water possible. This exhibition left a profound impact on our community and we are honored to have been the first home for this body of work, which explored substance use disorder, recovery and community in rural Maine.
