Last but not least: his instrument is not like the others! π¬ A native of Serbia, Milos Bjelica is a Boston-based clarinetist and educator. His work as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player has taken him to many cities across Europe and the United States. In addition to his rich playing career, Milos has also been teaching clarinet for the past fourteen years, both in public and private schools, privately, as well as through summer programs in Serbia, Europe, and in the United States. Milos is the recipient of numerous awards at national and international competitions including the Concerto and Honors competition at the Longy School of Music (2017) the Harold Wright Merit Award in Boston (2016), Concerto competition at the Boston University (2020). Milos holds a DMA from Boston University, a Masterβs degree, and an Artist Diploma from the Longy School of Music of Bard College, as well as a BA from the University of Belgrade.
Milos will be joining us for Instrument Playground and Recital next Sunday, April 14th, 6:30-8:00pm at the Multicultural Arts Center (41 Second Street, Cambridge), where you'll get to try all kinds of string and wind instruments--such as clarinets!--generously provided by The Musary, JRP Inc., followed by a performance of beloved chamber music by Mozart and Beethoven! π·π₯πΊπ»
