Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business

Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business Our mission is to empower future female leaders by uniting them through business education and experience.

HUWIB is currently the largest undergraduate business organization at Harvard University, reaching over 600 members with on campus and off campus business-oriented opportunities. In the fall of 2005, HUWIB held its first annual Intercollegiate Business Convention, attracting over 400 students from 30 universities. Now in its fifteenth year, the IBC conference attracts around 1000 attendees from al

l over the world. HUWIB now also hosts the BOLD conference for high school students and Social Impact Conference each fall. Each year, HUWIB members also venture on domestic and international outreach trips, most recently to New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Singapore, to explore opportunities in the business world. Past visits have included discussions with CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, panels with representatives from prominent firms, and meetings with associates in a variety of industries.

Summer Spotlights🚨📸 Come see what HUWIB has been up to this summer!

This summer, Selen was a Summer BA Intern for McKinsey. Her highlight of her Internship was the travel, specifically a weekend trip to San Diego! Selen is a rising Senior in Leverett House studying Psychology with a Secondary in Economics.

This summer, Maddie was a student and intern at Universidad de León, Alzheimer León, Isadora Duncan Foundation. Her highlight of her internship was exploring Spain with new friends, taking courses, interning with patients, volunteering, teaching English, living with her host family, and speaking Spanish every day. Specifically, she loved hiking the Camino de Santiago and Picos de Europa! Maddie is a rising Junior in Quincy House studying Chemistry with a Secondary in Economics and a Citation in Spanish.

This summer, Annelise was a Research Fellow for Harvard Business School’s Program for Research in Markets & Organizations (PRIMO). Her highlight of her Fellowship was meeting other PRIMO Fellows from across the country while engaging in interesting research, fun social activities, and exploring Boston together! Annelise is a rising Junior in Currier House studying Economics with a Secondary in Computer Science.

This summer, Kyra was a Business Economic Consulting Intern for PwC. Her highlight of her Internship was helping her team reach new startups and VCs and gaining a deeper understanding of the startup ecosystem. Kyra is a rising Junior in Quincy House studying Economics!

This summer, Lillie was a student at the Harvard Summer Study Abroad Program in Torino, Trento, and Siena in Italy. Her highlight of her experience was learning Italian, taking philosophy classes for the first time, and traveling the country. Specifically, she loved hiking the Dolomites! Lillie is a rising Junior in Kirkland House studying Electrical Engineering.
