The new movie "Saturday Night" interprets the first ever episode of Saturday Night Live in October of 1975. Andy Kaufman plays a part. In 1971, he did the same (record player) act at the Nameless Coffeehouse, with mixed response: "...once again, Elvis imitation went over with great screaming, stomping. But then started into his children's show game/singalong routine, which was inappropriate, at first provoked hostile reaction, then got some crowd response - but mostly embarrassing. Not rescheduled."
