Today marks one month in The Netherlands 🇳🇱 and we’re all settling in quite nicely! We’ve seen every kind of weather, built more IKEA furniture than I want to think about, made a bunch of new friends, gone to several museums and have explored our new home on foot and by bus, tram and train! So far so good! A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has welcomed us so warmly! So many folx in our new community have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome! 🤗

Y’all, I need your help! I’m in a tough situation and need to rehome my guinea pig family. Can you please amplify this post for me? There is 1 neutered male and 8 females and are all related (see previous post for how we got here 🤦🏻‍♀️). Free to a good home and come with great cages, food, hay, etc.
More info to come soon about my current situation but for now I just need to get these sweet babies settled somewhere they will be loved and cared for. 💕 I am happy to deliver within 100 miles of Camas, WA

Pumpkin hasn’t been in the carrier since he was a kitten, but today he begged for it! This orange boy screamed at me and knocked everything off the counters while I tried to figure out what he wanted. I fed him. SCREAMED. I cleaned his box. SCREAMED. I played with him. EVERYTHING ON THE FLOOR! I sat and invited him to snuggle. SCREAMED AND THREW MORE STUFF ON THE FLOOR! Finally I decided to try the carrier… and he purred and fell asleep immediately!!
Maybe Orange cats are just neurodivergent. This boy needed deep compression and coregulation and he knew it! It’s also possible that with us gone today he just stared at the full guinea pig condo with all the fuzzy squeaky bouncy cuteness that he’s not allowed to attack and it made him a bit overstimulated.
