De Zion tists

Hear ye! Hear ye!
Make way for the Design O tists!
Its the wave of the future!
Make way for the De Scien tists!
Pictures fill your eyes!
They have a permanent solution
to all...your temporary problems!

Beguiled by big oil
Distract!
and prey upon turmoil
Wouldn't it be nice
if rock'n'roll was the devil
Then we would still have time!

Every day just trying to be humble
Every night walk around and mumble
So hard doing what must be done
Why are they looking at me
like I am the only one

Trying just to stay warm fed and dry
Forgot my lunch and coat
So hard doing what's got to be done

Scene keeps changing
It's a constant upgrade
And all you've done so far
Isn't even worth a trade

If all you've got left at the end of the month
Is a roof for another month
And barely enough to get by
Then you are working for room and board

Its the things you teach
The things you show
Leading me down roads unending
Through things it was never my destiny to know

Tear my heart out
Bring me to tears
Giving me knowledge beyond my years

You move before me and you speak to my heart
With the power to paint history
And control the shape of art

Representation
What took place
What was said
The brush in the hands of chaos
That paints the pictures in our heads

Under the impression
That there is somewhere we are headed to
Weve all lost our way
Now were trying to steal a little something
Of ourselves from you

Interpretation of interpolation
Of the news you choose us to view
Denouement of deception
The web already spun
I struggle helplessly in my knowledge
Of the shape of things to come

Leading the way
To our own slaughter

By the coarseness of our own fodder
