I had the best time working with these 2nd grade students on bird’s nests pottery projects. Every nest was joyfully crafted with TLC! What a great gift to send home to their parents.

What’s better than seashells and Celadon? For me, seashells always bring joy, memories of summer days at the beach searching for seashell treasures. And the Celadon glazes simulate the fluidity of water washing over the shells, what a perfect combination! These pieces will be for sale at the Grounded and Baked gift shop this weekend during the NC Pickle Festival!

Being inspired by the recent ceramic flowers class, I decided it would be fun to add flowers to some pieces I was producing on the potter’s wheel. And I couldn’t resist adding my little green friend! ❤️❤️❤️

Today I visited the UMO Art Department and demonstrated slab construction techniques for the Ceramics classes. It’s always a pleasure to help get their semester off to a great start. Can’t wait to see the progress they make as they implement what they’ve learned.
