~Drawer Full~

I took down your portraits.

They’re ghosts
Not so silently mocking
Every hopeful glance,
Every carefully choreographed
Conversation with you.

No, heartily they cackle,
Drum with bony fingers the beat
Of my surrendering defeat.

They were my own untouchables
Inkjet torture chamber
Reminders of you.
Capsules of your beauty
In its pure untamable ferocity.

Your eyes always so full
Heavy with emotion
Soulfully inviting.
Your cupids bow
Perfect from the gun

Oh the laughter,
And oh the venom.
Your mind the unsolvable mystery.
Undying, your compassion
As long lived,
As fiery as your rage.

A flash of blinding white
The float of the turned page.
Glossy paper
Refuses reasoning, entertains no questions,
Coldly ignores supplication.
Even light meets rejection
In measured blocks
Of wandering daylight.

I cannot.
I cannot beg.
I cannot beg your lovely visage
Today.
I cannot cajole
I cannot demand
Nor even explain.

My only options remaining
Are wishes.

I haven't posted here in forever. I have written and written and forgotten to add to this page. Im sorry I've neglected you.
Im rattling through some emo/mental s**t.
The Eptsein files have dealt me a nasty shin smash.
Im not being graphic...Just saying I get it. More than ever.
