Hot Coffee’s first show in March 2023 consisted of 3 actors (including myself) 4 sketches, 15 mins of improv and 2 guest performances.

Tonight we have our 14th show with 7 actors (including myself), 9 sketches, 3 video sketches and one guest performer.

Currently, behind the scenes we have two other producers outside of me, 8 writers (I’m also included in this 😬), 12 performers, and a partnership with another black produced show.

The growth of this show feels me with so much joy. It’s a lot of work putting on a brand new show every month (there’s been many days I’ve asked myself why am I doing this). In the end I couldn’t be more proud of the work we continue to do and extremely grateful for all those involved. Hot Coffee is a safe space for black creatives to hone their craft. Thank you to anyone who has supported our journey.

Tonight is the season 2 finale. We hope to see you there.

It’s been an exciting 2024 for us. We celebrated a year, added new cast members and writers, took a group photo and now we are doing a special performance with the Regina Kings at The Elysian Theater Saturday, May 18th @ 8PM.

A month ago today we were supposed to have the debut of our new LA based improv/sketch comedy group, Hot Coffee! ☕️ Unfortunately, the show was canceled due to the rain. 🙃

Well we’re trying again today!

A good hot cup of coffee can give you the energy needed to start your day. An extra cup (s) is sometimes necessary to help you get through the day.

A new Los Angeles-based sketch group is looking to expand its team! If you’re interested in comedy and want to hone your craft as a writer and/or performer this is the opportunity for you.

We’re looking for black comedic performers and writers to contribute to our monthly sketch show.
