I began painting a local hummingbird species today.

Anna’s Hummingbirds are regular visitors in my garden during the warm months and I’m so glad that they are! Their bright colors and fluttering sounds are so beautiful and I always enjoy painting them. 😊 (This one’s almost finished, I’ll be sharing more soon.)

Do you have a special hummingbird connection? 🩷

Another Mother’s Day at is in the books. 😊

A big thank you to Horton Iris Farm for hosting a lovely event and another big thank you to everyone who came out to visit and support my small business!! 🥰

Visiting with local collectors and other local makers each year is such a joy!! 🥰 Several original paintings found their new homes including my tiniest bird “You Caught My Eye”. 🪶💚🎨✨

Today I’m sharing a few older pieces inspired by Hortons Iris Farm as I prepare to visit again this weekend. 💕

I was looking through pictures last night from past visits to and next thing I knew I was up late at the dining room table painting Iris’s. 🙃 They’re just so pretty and unique that I couldn’t resist. So, now I’ve got a few more pieces to varnish and get ready for this weekend.

I’ll share more with you tomorrow. 😊
