It is so much fun to be part of the , a 92-year tradition in . And of course I had to knit a white top to wear for our performances, since I am quite short on white clothing. in to the rescue! Even though the band is finished performing for this summer season, I am going to enjoy having this cardigan every summer.

I hereby interrupt regularly scheduled yarny programming to take a moment to say how proud I am to be part of a community where over 100 people take a whole day out of their summer to pull trash out of this beautiful river. And how sad I am that the trash was dumped there in the first place. Please don’t litter. But these people are awesome, with or without litterbugs in the world. Thank you Delaware River Club Pig Farm Ink and Housefly Fishing for organizing and thank you to all of the sponsors, cleaneruppers, and behind-the-scenes workers who made last weekend happen. And to anyone who missed it, I hope you’ll join us next August to clean up more trash. Unless there’s not any trash to pull . . .

We were lucky to get to spend a few days at the beach earlier this week and of course I spent much of that time knitting! This is going to be a new favorite. Plus, I absolutely loved working with the new Jody Long Yarns which is just in at Wool Worth! Hope you’ll come by to check it out and maybe start your own summer knitting adventure. The best part about running this little shop is the people, hands down. Both the customers and also the craftspeople I get the privilege to work with. In just the past month I’ve been lucky enough to hang out with Amy Crews Amy and Newburgh Yarn Co. | Kim Carroll Kim. Hi guys! Thanks for visiting! Can’t wait to see you both again in October (if not before)! And to all of you lovely people on Instagram — don’t stay on the other side of a screen — stop on by and say hi! I do enjoy a new ! Who’s with me?? This one is in this joy of a yarn, by Jody Long which is new at Wool Worth, comes in a beautiful array of colors, and, as it’s dk weight, will get you a summer garment in no time at all. Just in time for enjoying August and the last of the warm months (probably)!
