Our Youth Dance Open Studios are all about building confidence, creativity, movement, and friendships in a fun and encouraging environment! Whether your dancer wants to practice skills, learn something new, or simply move and have fun — this is for YOU!

☀️🩰 Summer Youth Dance Open Studio is happening NEXT WEEK 🩰☀️

School’s out, so let’s dance! Join us for a special Summer Youth Dance Open Studio at The Studio at Functional Roots on Tuesday, May 26th with a fun Summer Break theme! 🌴✨

🕡 6:30–7:15 PM | Ages 3–6
🕖 7:15–8:00 PM | Ages 7-12
💲$25 per dancer

This one-night open studio is a great chance for dancers to:
💃 Refresh basic dance skills
✨ Practice new skills & techniques
🙌🏼 Get extra practice in small groups and 1-on-1 with Ms. Colby

PLUS — keep an eye out for what’s coming next 👀
🐞 A fun dance event with LoveBug this summer
🎆 The next Functional Roots Open Studio (tentatively planned for July 14th) with a Fireworks / 4th of July theme!

(Dancers are to arrive at 6:00 for rehearsal)

🎉 Youth Dance Showcase 🎉

This Friday, April 17 our Functional Roots youth dancers will light up the studio! 🌸

Important details:
🩰 Dancers arrive: 5:30 PM
⏰ Showcase starts: 6:00 PM
📍 1111 S. Oak St. California Mo 65018

After the showcase, keep the fun going with open dance from 7:00–7:15 PM—show off your best freestyle dance moves with Ms. Colby! 🎶

🚨It’s almost time for our showcase! 🚨

‼️Reminder: our Spring 2026 mini session showcase is on Friday, April 17th !

🌸T-shirts will be handed out next week on 4/14 at our last Tuesday night session!

🌸T-shirts will be billed via ZenPlanner and can be expected on the account 4/9-4/15.

🌸Our showcase theme is Retro 2000’s Rockstar🎸
(think Hannah Montana for inspo😉)

🌸Dancers will wear their pre-ordered t-shirts for the showcase with whatever bottoms they may like (leggings, tutus, etc).

🌸Dancers are also welcome to accessorize! (sunglasses, scarfs, etc, to match our theme!)
