🎃 And that’s a wrap for Halloween 2025! 👻
(Yes… we know, this post is about four days late — we’re still recovering from all the screams 😅)

What an amazing year! This was one of our most successful seasons yet, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Every year, we’re blown away by the turnout, the excitement, and the love our community shows us. Whether you’ve been haunting with us since the beginning or stopped by for the first time, thank you for making this such a special tradition.

A massive shoutout to our incredible actors and crew — you’re the heart (and horror) of this whole thing. The time, energy, and creativity you pour into every role is what makes our haunt come alive. You all crushed it this year! 💀

To anyone who left cash or Venmo donations, your generosity truly helps us keep improving year after year. Every bit goes right back into making the haunt bigger, better, and scarier — and we’re so thankful for that support.

And of course, a very special thank you to our neighbors for their patience, good humor, and understanding through all the lights, screams, and traffic that come with this spooky season. You all are the real MVPs of Halloween! 🕸️

To our loyal regulars and all the new faces we saw this year — thank you for showing up, spreading the word, and keeping the Halloween spirit alive with us. We can’t wait to do it all again next year.

What began as an open garage decorated for trick-or-treaters has, in just four years, become one of Caldwell’s most anticipated Halloween-night attractions.

Josh, the creator behind The Terror Haunted House, started small — welcoming curious neighbors into a garage lined with Halloween props and decorations in 2021. It wasn’t until 2022 that the project officially became a home haunt, taking on the initial name Bobwhite Haunted Manor for the first time. Each year since, it has grown in both size and ambition, evolving into a full walkthrough experience with live scare actors that now draws over 1,000 visitors each Halloween night and continues to grow.

Having both grown up creating haunted houses with their families, Josh and his wife were inspired to bring that same excitement to their own children and the local community. As the haunt grew in size and ambition, the decision was made in 2024 to change the name to The Terror Haunted House, reflecting a scarier, more immersive atmosphere and allowing for a wider variety of haunted themes.

For the first two years, Josh acted inside the haunt himself, but as the crowds grew, he stepped out of costume to oversee the operation. Throughout the night, things often need adjusting or fine-tuning, and it’s easier to do that when he’s not behind a mask.

He spends months preparing — often beginning construction in July and working before and after his regular job to bring each new scene to life. The result is a uniquely homegrown attraction built entirely by hand, fueled by community excitement and a lot of late nights.

While Josh may no longer be providing scares himself, every wall, sound, and detail in the haunt carries his mark. He’s also supported by his family and friends, who help bring the haunt to life on Halloween night. Though Josh is the driving force behind the project, it’s truly a collaborative effort when it comes together each October.

In addition to the haunted walkthrough, the home features a large Halloween display on the lawn that can be enjoyed throughout October.
