Saturday at the Arts Festival went by so quickly; the weather was great and the heavy smoke haze had lifted. Art Fair, Food Fair, Artisan Market vendors were all doing busy by 10 am. This year, the music started in The Pavilion at 10 also...the earliest ever!! Over in The Market, the Kids Art Zone was hopping with Faerie gardens being made and musical mayhem with many music artists giving kids a try at making sounds on musical instruments. As this year's Festival came to a close, we saw the end of decades of experience on the FOTA planning committee as Paul Brown, Lois Durham, Linda Anderson & Mike Filkins all said goodbye at their final Festival.

The Friday line up was jam packed...the rain & smoke brought some changes but still a wonderful day. We started the day withe the Cadillac Area Chamber of Commerce Rise Up! hearing from 7 Arts organizations about the amazing work being dobe in our community. Thanks to all Art Fair, Artisan Market and Food Fair vendors. Thank you to Chris Fisher , Meg Santangelo, Kathleen Anderson, Jesse Felsk, Lois Durham, and Linda Anderson for coordinating those. Thanks to Mallory Vandermeulen, David Powell, Marcus Peccia , Paul Brown & Carla Thompson- Filkins for their work on the Mayor's Art Award. Thank you MSU Extension - Wexford County for a fantastic afternoon of art & music. Thank you Rotary Club of Cadillac for a wonderful Art & Unwined event with artists Bruce Willard Whipple , Matt Taylor & Rachel Potter. Thanks to the Cadillac Garden Club & Marla Courtney for making The Market a beautiful space. Thank you Jacob Mayle and Nik VanWagner for your brilliance behind the sound boards. Thank you City if Cadillac & staff for amazing parks to hold the events. Thank you to the Cadillac Area Symphony Orchestra, The Go Rounds & HEAVY COLOR for your incredible music. See? Big day!.

Thank yous...start with Thursday...Travis Owen's and the DDA hosted a paint party that attracted 40 people to help the community mosaic project. Marla Courtney led the Cadillac Garden Club and 4H kids in making a Flower Wall in The Market. Tim Scully and UpBeat Cadillac Music Series brought a great concert in The Rotary Performing Arts Pavilion...great start to the Cadillac Festival of the Arts !
