Exciting Announcement!
Last month the son of the owners of Butte Frame Shop, a wonderful place that had been operating in Butte for decades, came in and said that his parents were retiring after many many years of running their shop, and asked if I would be interested in buying the business. After talking it out with my partner , looking over what we would be acquiring, we decided it was an opportunity that we needed to, nay, wanted to, greet with open arms. We came to a deal that benefited both parties and I am happy to say a little bit of the history and spirit of The Butte Frame Shop will live on. The current location of Square Peg Custom Framing was once the location of Butte Frame Shop back when they also did photography, before it was Books and Books. I feel honored to carry on this spirit and am ever so grateful to the Butte Frame Shop family.
One of the best items in the acquisition is a Wizard CMC (Computerized Mat Cutter). This tool opens up a world of possibilities fo what I can offer in custom framing and to say I am over the moon is putting it mildly.
I worked with a Wizard CMC for ten years before moving here, but the purchase of one just hadn't been a possibility. Until now!
On December 1, we shook hands on the deal and I've been busy packing up their shop before work, after work, making hauls on the weekends.
