This September, Butler Little Theatre presents The Guys, a deeply moving play by Anne Nelson.

Set in the aftermath of September 11, The Guys follows a fire captain who must prepare eulogies for the firefighters he lost — and the editor who helps him find the words.

It is a story about grief, friendship, memory, and the unexpected ways people help one another through loss.

The Guys opens September 11 and runs through September 19.

Our 85th season begins with a powerful story of friendship, remembrance, resilience, and hope.

Opening September 11, The Guys is a special tribute marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. Based on a true story, the play follows a New York City fire captain and a writer who come together to create eulogies for the firefighters he lost at the World Trade Center.

It’s a story about grief. About connection. And ultimately, about healing.

We love seeing our local theatre community creating something new!

Congratulations to our friends at hobnob theatre co on the premiere of their original silent film this Saturday as part of the Butler Cultural District's Steeples & Stacks celebration.

Theatre doesn’t happen without the people who give their time, talent, and heart to make it possible. 🎭

We’re grateful to be part of Butler County’s vibrant arts community and thankful to Molly Miller for highlighting the volunteers, performers, and storytellers who keep local theatre thriving.

Katie Moore, vice chairperson of Butler Little Theatre’s board, says it can take 125 hours to produce, direct, or act in a community theater show.
