Race Week Recap
Monday 8-17 at the Clay County Fair Speedway
Heat 4th to 4th
Feature 9th to 6th with a green to checkers feature. Felt like we had a pretty solid car just needed a caution to get everyone bunched back together
Thursday 8-20 at the Kossuth County Speedway for the Season Championship night
Heat 7th to 3rd
Feature 3rd to 4th
Took to long to find the groove but once we found it we had a pretty good car but just couldn’t do anything with it but happy with finishing the year off with a top 4!
Saturday 8-22 at the Boone Speedway
Qualifying 1- 9th to 6th
Feature- 26th to 12th!
For just going down there to try some stuff we were very happy with the run. Found some things we liked that hopefully will help us out for Super nationals and to fill the notebook!

It’s a beaut of a day so we decided to load up the car and head to Boone Speedway to do some testing for super nationals. We’ll be starting tail end, just wanting to try some stuff!

This Thursday we remember a legend Gene Schattschneider. 2000 to win Mods and Stocks, Sport mods and Hobbies 1000 to win. Come on out and enjoy a great night of racing with some of the best drivers in the state competing. The Thunder never stops at KCS, we’ll save a ticket for you!!!!!

We were able to pick up the 6 footer Thursday night at the Kossuth County Speedway! First win for us that Mom and Dad were able to be there for so it was extra special! Huge thank you to David for drawing pole for us all night! Thanks to Ryan and Brian for the help in the pits! And as always thanks to the most amazing sponsors!

Time to turn our attention to the Kossuth County Fair races being held this Thursday Aug 6th
1000 to win IMCA MODIFIEDS
1000 to win IMCA STOCK CARS
1000 to win IMCA SPORT MODS
1000 to win IMCA HOBBY STOCKS
700 to win. KCS LATE MODELS
200 to win KCS CRUISERS
Plus 6 ft tall fair trophies
Draw redraw for all classes
Reminder that pit stalls are not reserved for the Fair Race .
Not only will we have great racing action we will meet the 4 new inductees into the Kossuth County Speedway Hall of Fame, they are:

Hobby stocks you have 3 chances left to qualify for the Jake Long Hobby Stock Shootout on Aug 20. It will be the last race of the evening and it will close out 2026 racing season. All you have to do is win a feature and you are qualified. If we don’t have eight qualified on wins I will round out 8 car field starting with highest point car that is not qualified until we have 8.

After 7 long long years we finally got it done at our home track at the Kossuth County Speedway last night!! The amount of work and time we have had to put in is absolutely insane but we finally got it to pay off and we got to show off our rocket ship! The list is huge on all the people I have to thank so forgive me if I forget anyone but I have to start out by thanking my beautiful fiancé Halle Lawson with putting up with me having this hobby that seems more like a second job sometimes. Mom and Dad for helping out when they can with getting the car unloaded or cleaned up and ready to work on. Justin Raymond for being the crew chief when he’s able to make it to the races. Brian, Ryan and David for helping out in the pits and in the shop when able and of course all of our great sponsors!!

To get a win at home is just awesome with having a crew like we had in victory lane and I just want to thank all of the fans and family for sticking with me through the years! Now let’s keep the momentum going and get back to victory lane!🏁

Heartbreaker last night at the Hancock County Speedway.
Heat race- P4 to P3
Feature- P6 to a DNF. Had a really solid 6th to 2nd run going, had a caution and chose the outside. On the restart the guy on the inside decided to go to the wall when we took the green. I was there. I got tagged in the LR by another car when the car spun towards the outside at the end of the straight away. Got my spot back but the left rear was going flat. Pulled it into the infield. Great heads up driving by everyone else because that could have been a really bad deal. And I just hope people start to understand that you can’t do that stuff when we are doing double file restarts. But oh well, we should be able to get it fixed up and back together for Algona tomorrow night! The car has some really good speed right now and just can’t get any luck to show it. Thanks to everyone with the help and all the sponsors who make it possible to show up to the track!
