SAPRS - Paranormal Research

SAPRS - Paranormal Research Welcome to Spirit of the Appalachian Paranormal Research Society (SAPRS). We are a paranormal research team in WNC dedicated to research of the paranormal.

Spirit of the Appalachians Paranormal Research Society (SAPRS) is a paranormal research society dedicated to the objective, if not scientific research of the paranormal. We are located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Burnsville\Bakersville\Spruce Pine, NC area which of course is part of the Southern Appalachian mountain range. Our secondary mission is the preservation of history. P

ersonal and often times cultural history is lost as people die and families are not made aware how their loved ones and former generations lived and worked. Therefore we make every effort to document and record personal history, family stories, and ghost stories from every person we interview so those pieces of history are not lost. We do not claim to know all there is to know about the paranormal or the research of it. There is much yet to learn but we hope with open minds and solid evidence gathering techniques we can contribute to the discipline of paranormal investigation and hopefully contribute to the efforts of those who came before us and to those who's efforts have yet to come, in attempting to understand some of the worlds unanswered questions and journeys.

SAPRS needs some help with a personal experience, so we're reaching out to our friends and followers to hopefully gain some insight to see if anyone around us has ever had a experience like this before.
A dear friend of our group told us about an experience they had a few days ago. It seems that they were washing their face in the bathroom sink when suddenly the whole room was bathed in this bright gold colored light. They stated that the light did not come from the electric lights above the mirror and sink and lasted an estimated 10-20 secs. They also told us that they were terrified by this phenomenon at first, fearing that perhaps they had died and did not know it. When asked they also said that it felt negative in nature. If anyone has any experience with anything like this or if other paranormal teams have any insight into this occurrence please post a reply here on facebook, or email Tony at [email protected].

It's that time again, everyone! Just in time for Halloween, Tell Us Your Ghost Story!
Firstly, we'd like to assure you that we are still very much an active group and even if we don't post often, we still receive your messages and will always respond. We've been very busy this year! Many of those being private cases we do not openly discuss, which is the reason we haven't given a lot of updates. But if ever you reach out to us, we will always reach back.
Moving forward, we're happy to announce our 3rd annual Tell Us Your Ghost Story! This event will be held next Saturday, October 22nd, from 2 until 7 p.m., at the Yancey County Public Library, and is free of charge! And this year, being so close to Halloween, our team is very much in the holiday spirit and Halloween costumes are strongly encouraged! Tell Us Your Ghost Story is a chance for anyone over the age of 18 to come and share with us their own tales of the paranormal, family stories that have been passed down, or bits of local history. Listeners are more than welcome, too! Refreshments will be served as always, and you're welcome to drop in or leave whenever you like between 2 and 7. Our team will be present to listen, share stories of our own, answer questions and demonstrate some of our equipment.
We hope you'll join us and Tell Us Your Ghost Stories!!

Greetings from SAPRS! We have a special request to ask of our followers:
Without revealing too much information yet, we'd like to announce that we are seeking to get in touch with former employees, guests, etc. Of the Nu Wray Inn in our town of Burnsville, North Carolina, who may have had what they believe to be paranormal or unusual experiences while at the inn. We would like for them to reach out to us and recount their experiences, and hopefully discuss them in a private interview, in person or via email, with some of our executive team members.
You can directly reach founder Tony Ford at his group email address: [email protected]
Or you can contact Megan and Karen with any further questions by messaging the page beforehand. Thank you in advance for your participation, and PLEASE give this post a share in hopes that you may know someone who would like to reach us in regards to the Nu Wray Inn!

As always, we had so much fun and have lots of evidence to go through. It wasn't our most activity, but we definitely had some things that intrigued us.
Thank you so much to Built to Fall Productions for being willing to work with us on this investigation, we enjoyed working with you very much. And as always, thank you to all our followers and supporters as well!
