Glazing pots for the
My entertainment for today is a little different from my usual podcasts and audiobooks though. Watching helicopters clean up the river downstream. So far I’ve seen mostly camper parts, but this seems to be a whole car?

I forgot to take a picture before we closed the kiln yesterday, so have an old one that FB Memories offered up today!

It’s always a challenge to get back in the studio after a break. There are so many demands on our time that make it hard to get there physically and mentally. Then when you do get to the space there are even more.
I saw a post on a message board many years ago that was something like…
Day 1- go to the studio, remember something important you need to do in the kitchen
Day 2- cut your fingernails then pet the cat instead
Day 3- clean up the mess from the last firing
Day 4- discover that your clay is too dry, prep clay
Day 5- now clay is too wet….

Today I managed to push through and actually make a few pots on Jan 2! We’ll see how many days it takes to get back to finish them up.

I’ve been pretty lazy about updating, but I do have plenty of pots available in the studio! I’m in and out a lot, so get in touch and we can find a time for a visit.
There are a few more days left to ship, as well!

It’s never straightforward when dealing with fire, but despite burner issues, it turned out to be a terrific firing! Best blues I’ve had in a couple of years!

Seems we misplaced October? And the fall shows, and come to think of it, several of our local galleries!
