This painting depicts our mountain landscape after the storm. Because we had no power or running water you can see my husband in the reference photo at our sheep shed dish washing station using the sheep’s drinking water which flows down the mountain from a spring.

thank you all who checked on us after Helene. our family is safe. we still have no running water and need house repairs but otherwise we're okay.
here in the mountains the devastation is unfathomable but the community so beautiful and resilient. we are coming together in the ways we can support one another. we are continually touched to tears. one thing i can do is to offer 50% of proceeds from any sales of my work during this time of healing. i would like to donate these funds to Toe River Arts which is a beautiful organization which will allocate the funds to the artists and community programs that need the most support. some artists lost everything... homes, studios, works of art and loved ones.
please consider a donation directly to Toe River Arts because i can assure you it will make a difference. meanwhile i will do my part to contribute as well. thank you everyone... we feel your love.

this piece is 4 feet tall. i feel the large scale helps to capture the big energy of these magnificent peonies.

“Yesterday” found it’s forever home with a beautiful family. i love finding out where my works are meant to live. the art and collector is a beautiful relationship …I’m honored to be involved in that union. 🩷

It’s not easy to tell but this painting is 5’ by 5’, almost as tall as me. I love the warmth of this stonework and massive mantle as a temporary home for this piece.
