🌸🎨 What an incredible evening at The Bougie Brush! 🎨🌸

We painted “Blue Ridge Bloom”, an original Bougie Brush design inspired by the beauty of our Blue Ridge Mountains, and I am absolutely amazed by everyone’s artwork! If you couldn’t make it to this event, this is available to paint during open studio or a take and make kit.

One of my favorite things about paint parties is seeing how each painter starts with the same canvas but ends up with something completely unique. Every painting reflected its artist’s personality and creativity, and they all turned out beautifully.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, laughed with us, and spent your evening creating something special. Your support means the world to this small-town art studio. 💙

🎨 There’s something special that happens when you put your phone down and pick up a paintbrush.

The other day, I looked around the studio and noticed something beautiful. People weren’t scrolling. They weren’t checking notifications. They weren’t worried about getting the perfect photo.

They were creating.

Laughing with friends.
Trying something new.
Making mistakes and turning them into masterpieces.
Being fully present in the moment.

We spend so much of our lives documenting experiences that sometimes we forget to actually experience them.

That’s one of the reasons I love what happens at The Bougie Brush.

For a couple of hours, the world slows down. Conversations happen. Creativity takes over. And nobody cares if their painting is perfect—they’re simply enjoying the process.

The finished project is wonderful, but my favorite part is watching people remember what it feels like to create something with their own hands.

In a world that moves fast, creativity gives us permission to slow down.
