Howdy folks! Just a quick reminder to come out this Saturday, March 21, for our annual fundraiser for TRIAD and Hill Country Area Crime Stoppers, Inc. We can't have a gunfight on an empty stomach so come early and grab a sausage wrap. Of course, our local gunfighters have found that the best fundraiser is robbin' a train, so if you are ridin' the Austin Steam Train this Saturday be on the look out for some shady characters hoppin' the train---
and have your wallets handy!!! See y'all then!

Tex Copsetta, President of Burnet Gunfighters, presents a check in the amount of $1,700 to the Burnet County Santa's Helpers coordinators, Donna Fritsch and Vickie Seiley. This contribution was made possible by donations received each Saturday in November, primarily from passengers of the Austin Steam Train, who watched the Gunfighters' performances and from the “train robbery” on November 22. During the past year, the Burnet Gunfighters have contributed to 8 other charitable organizations: LaCare, Triad, Crime Stoppers, Meals on Wheels, Literacy Council, VFW, Austin Steam Train Association and Caiden's Hope, totaling $5,700. The public is invited to attend the gunfights on Saturdays, 1:30-2 pm at the “Old Town,” located next to the Burnet Community Center.

The Burnet Gunfighters will be there to show you "How the West was won...more or less!" With Sheriff Tex, Cactus Jack and his horse, Shadow, Lucky Bob, Jessie James, the card cheater, and of course, the saloon girls, Liz, Dee, and Shelli. Maybe a bounty hunter, too. Come to Ft. Croghan Day to see the west as it was!
