Juniper Creative Arts

Juniper Creative Arts Juniper Creative Arts is a Vermont-based family of artists who focus on community-building, beautification and healing.

Juniper Creative Arts is a family collective of artists, educators, and healing arts practitioners who create at the intersection of spirituality, identity, community, + healing thru ancestral practices + the lens of hip-hop culture. The collective consists of Will Kasso Condry, Jennifer Herrera Condry, and Alexa Herrera Condry. We are nationally recognized muralists, healing justice facilitators,

and educators with a mission-driven practice of creating art that celebrates the lives and stories of the African Diaspora. Our work is inspired by our cultural and spiritual lineages, urban art, Hip-Hop culture, the mystical, and the natural world. We believe in the power of the arts to heal, bring people together, build community, and create dialogue; to these ends, we use visual art and murals to lift up the voices, images, and people often left on the margins. Jennifer and Will have over 40 years of combined experience in their respective fields. Since 2017, they have facilitated numerous community mural projects and provided speaking engagements to educate others on the history and value of community murals and graffiti as forms of democratic art. We have since expanded our services to include fine art documentation and digitizing, illustration, and plant spirit medicines.

Thank you to the for this incredible honor. We’re deeply grateful to receive the 2026 Community Service Award.

Our work has always been rooted in community and collaboration. This award reflects the collective efforts of so many who continue to inspire and guide what we do. We’d also like to extend our congratulations to the other honorees, whom we’re honored to share this recognition with.

In a time of so much uncertainty, it’s essential that we continue to create opportunities to be seen - Black people, Black culture, Black history.

We believe that real change happens when we move toward the unknown. That unknown is the foundation for growth. What’s often perceived as scary can become the catalyst for something profound.

For us, art is a form of communication and community connection. When approached with intention, art becomes a benevolent disruption of the status quo, a radical invitation to imagine something better. Imagination is freedom. Liberating even one mind is meaningful, difficult, and sometimes dangerous work. When imagination and action come together, transformation becomes inevitable, if we’re brave enough to see it through.

The African Diaspora is global, and the presence of Blackness, in all its shades, its beauty and pain, its elegance and its flaws, is part of the full spectrum of this world. The art we create honors that truth. We are raw royalty.

We’re deeply thankful to the Rutland NAACP for its leadership, its advocacy, and its continued commitment to justice and equity. Thank you for seeing us and for allowing us to be part of this shared work.
