Studio 1

Studio 1 Studio 1 is a performing arts center with diverse and unique theatre programming We do main stage, youth stage and classes.

Studio 1 is a theatre group that focuses on providing unique, positive and empowering community theatre productions. Studio 1 accepts all volunteers with all levels of experience in the different aspects of theatre. We will give children and adults the tools to excel in productions. Our goal is to enrich our community through outreach and service. We also invite you to get involved as a corporate

sponsor, advertiser in our playbill, and/or as a donor. Businesses, industries, and individuals will be recognized for their support of the performing
arts in the Piedmont area. Studio 1 is a 501c3 organization and is entirely dependent on the generosity of their patrons and the community. All donations and monies are tax deductible!

Thank you so much to everyone that auditioned! We are excited to announce the cast of Help! I’m an Alien Trapped in the Dying Mall of America. Our first rehearsal will be tomorrow, Sept. 1 from 7-10pm at the studio. We can’t wait to see everyone there! It is with broken hearts that we post that Halli Nguyen passed away yesterday from injuries from a car accident. Halli was part of the theatre community and her drive and passionate empathy didn’t just touch all of us, but it changed all of us. Her family will be having a celebration of life at Studio 1 on Sunday, September 6th. We will post more details when they are available.

We are so excited to introduce our teacher for SAPA—Kimberly Earl!

Kimberly is starting her 7th year schooling her own kids and has a Bachelor's degree in Child Development. Being naturally quiet, she was hesitant to get involved in theater, but was drawn in by her siblings in high school. She developed a love for theater both on and off stage — especially the friends she made along the way.

The last couple of years, Kimberly and her family have been pulled back into the theater world at Studio 1. She's loved getting involved on the tech side of things and watching her husband and children shine on stage. She's very excited for this new adventure — creating a place where every student has a gift, and every gift has a purpose.

It’s not too late to register! Class starts in a little over a week!
