Gearing up for a trip down memory to my old stomping grounds for a festive Hashtown Art Show in Rabbit Hash Kentucky!! There are a fine selection of artists, music and yummy food! The leaves will be turning. A beautiful drive through the country does the body good!! Come make a day of it!! 🍂🍁🍂

Thank you to all who made our 2026 Old Timers Day a great day. Good folks, good food & drink, good shopping and lots of love and laughter — we’re grateful for every one of you.

Next up: Seth with Theartofseth.
If you know him and his work, you already love him. If you don’t, prepare to fall in love with both the guy and the art.
He’ll be in the barn with his beautiful work on Saturday,. September 19, noon–5 PM.

Since 1894, Labor Day has honored the hands that craft, mend, and make.

It feels like the right moment to share this treasure I bought from a maker at Old Timers Day, John. He named her Serenity, a nod to the calm that good craftsmanship brings. Check her out when you are in town next, she's pretty special!

Saturday’s Old Timers Day means vendors across from and next to the barn — pottery, glasswork, leather, art, food, and all kinds of eye candy.

Pottery by Christine and Rachel, glass by Valerie with Sherwood Art Glass , bold art from Fraggle FX , leather and other beautiful work by ZeZe with Maiden Made.

Grab a bite at EJ’s Southern Fixin’s (don’t sleep on that Not Yo' Mommas banana puddin’), and look for Tim with Sweet Treats KY rolling by with cheesecakes.

ARM WRESTLING: A SIMPLE SPORT WITH OLD ROOTS — and in Rabbit Hash this Saturday!

Long before gyms and trophies, arm wrestling was a front‑porch sport — a way folks tested strength, settled friendly debates, and shared a laugh. You’d see it at picnics, porches, and riverbanks — anywhere people gathered. It was part of Rabbit Hash life, where bragging rights and the “good” rocking chair were earned the hard way.

This Saturday, we’re keeping that tradition alive with our Youth, Women’s, and Men’s Arm Wrestling Contest.
