Comprised of lifelong acolytes of the traditional surf sound and longtime regulars of the Burlington music scene, the group formed in 2018 and recorded their first reverb-doused record, Tombstoning, in 2019. Their latest record, The Monster of Jungle Island, provides the thunderous soundtrack to a short B-horror movie of the same title.
Burly Girlies is a feminist punk band from VT. They write songs based on their experiences as q***r small town weirdos taking up space in the 21st century patriarchy. Reclaiming notoriously misogynistic pop culture pillars from pl***oy bunnies to horror movie slasher tropes, Burly Girlies are a silly good time that will leave you feeling enticed and pi**ed off.
