Lily's Pad Welcome to Lily's Pad! A listening and sharing space for musicians, artists, and their pals! Lily's pad is a substance/smoke free environment.

Located in a private residence at 1999 North Avenue in Burlington, VT; Lily's Pad is a DIY listening and sharing space for musicians, spoken word performers, and other artists, (and their pals!). We exist to encourage and support the growth of our amazing community of artists regardless of talent and experience levels, and we are a safe and welcoming space for female, q***r, and gender non-conform

ing artists. Lily's pad features a twice monthly house party that serves as a song circle/jam/open-mic night called The Ribbit Review! Artists are encouraged to bring original songs, covers, poetry, or any other sonically oriented art they'd like to perform. We also welcome non-performers to just come, hang out, enjoy the space, have some tea and treats, and connect with and just be in community. We apologize to folks who need mobility assistance, but due to existing structure of the house, the basement and certain rooms are not wheel chair accessible.

Hey froggos! No Lily's Pad tonight, but we have some good news! The house issue has been resolved and we'll be resuming our normal schedule starting the 17th of this month! Hurray.

We're can't wait to reconnect with all of you again.

Hey everyone. I'm going to need to cancel the pad tomorrow night. There's been a snafu with the insurance on the house, and until it's resolved I just need to be safe as the estate is going into probate. This could be for the next few months depending on how things go. I'm so sorry.

If anyone would like to host in the meantime, let me know. Maybe we could all just get together and jam at someone's house, or backyard in the interim. I might also reach out to odd fellows, to see if we can meet there maybe once in awhile.

Once it's resolved, the pad will return. No worries. Thanks for your understanding everybody. Stay in touch with each other! ❤️❤️❤️

Hi everyone.

With great sorrow I wanted to let you all know that Rory made her journey back to Consciousness this morning down at her family house in Weybridge. She was at peace and we're grateful that her hospice process was a quick one.

Words can't accurately describe my feelings right now, but I'm glad my partner is free of the anxieties and worries that she struggled with in life. There's a hole in my heart right now, but I'm joyous that she's at peace.

She was the best human I ever knew. Kind and generous to a fault. She always put others before herself, and always tried to find ways to help. And I've never experienced a love as deeply and honestly and unconditionally as she loved me. I hope that in the end she felt the same.

She loved you all too, especially her family, and her music community. She never expected to have the amazing group of friends and feel the connectedness that she did in these late years of her life. But she was so grateful for it. Every single one of you, and every single minute minute. Thank you all for being part of her journey.

If you'd like to come honor her with music and poetry, I'm still going to hold Lily's pad this Wednesday. She wouldn't have it any other way. I'm also going to plan a life celebration later on in the spring when the weather turns warmer, and things are in bloom. That was her favorite time of year.

My beautiful Rorykins, I'll miss you so so much tho I know we are forever connected in Consciousness. Someday we'll see each other again. Enjoy your new adventures wherever they lead you. I love you to the 12th fret and beyond.

Hey friends. I need to give you all an update on what's been going on with Rory. As you know, if you've been following, she went into rehab about a week ago. Initially she was in full rehab, but had to go back to the hospital for complications with meds. They moved her to a sub acute rehab the next day, but since, Rory has made the decision to enter hospice care, and begin her journey back to Consciousness

She's been moved down to her family home in weybridge, is at peace, has an excellent hospice nurse helping her with her transition to her next adventure, and is under the diligent and loving care of her family

She finds the quiet down there beautiful, and is happy that that is where she will spend her end of this life. She's being made as comfortable as possible, and her family is with her.

She has asked only to have her family and myself around while she goes through this process, but if anyone would like to record messages, or send goodbyes, I'm happy to pass them along you can either message them to me here, or text me at 802-238-8068.

I'm considering having a gathering at her house for the lovely community that she has been a part of these past couple of years. Potentially this weekend. I'll keep you up to date on that. Will continue to do Lily's pad, the next one being next Wednesday. So we can all play music, enjoy each other's company, and be joyous and connected. This more than anything is what she would want. I hope you all can make either one of the gatherings.

There are no words to express how much everyone has meant to her these past couple of years. Y'all have given her the strength to be her true self, and made her feel loved and accepted. She considers you all more than friends and I'm sure if she were able, would want to thank you all personally and give you all the biggest of hugs. I hope you'll keep her in your thoughts as she makes this crossing.

I love you all. Thank you for being here friend. Keep making amazing art. Keep building community. Keep supporting each other.

Froggos! Lily's Pad is on this Wednesday! Bring some sonic art, and a snack to share, and maybe a friend - or two or three or more!

Also, well be recording messages of healing, hope, and joy for Rory as she continues to recover from her stroke. If you feel inclined and able, she would love to hear from you!

Things get hopping at 7pm! It promises to be a ribbiting evening! See you all there!

Hi froggos. Maya here. I have some news to share on Rory’s behalf.

This past Monday, Rory suffered a stroke as a result of a massive brain bleed in her left hemisphere. Currently she has significant mobility issues, and her speech is impaired. It’s too early to talk about what recovery might look like as the first week can be very up and down, but we’re remaining hopeful that once swelling recedes the healing process can begin.

Lily's Pad has meant the world to Rory these past two years - or more to the point, the friends and community she has got to be a part of. I’m sure she would like you all to know how grateful she is that you are part of her world, and express her appreciation for all the amazing moments -joyous or sad - you have shared with her.

I’ll try to keep you everyone posted as things progress; as much as I am able while still respecting her privacy, comfort, and dignity.
In the meantime, please send her good healing vibes for a speedy recovery.

If you'd like me to pass along a message to her, I'm happy to do so. If the time comes when she is able to have guests besides immediately family I'll let you all know. Thanks all.
