My fondest childhood memories include my parents taking my sister and I to the Dixie Gardens Drive-in Theatre in the back of our Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. A car so large it had it's own zip code. I remember watching the "Doberman Gang"(A cheezy flick about a bunch of bad guys who train dogs to rob a bank) in my pajamas. I'd fallen fast asleep during the second feature only to have my dad carry me

into the house, tuck me in and kiss me goodnight after returning home. Ever since I have been hooked on movies, movie theatres and all things related. At 12 years of age I was making super 8 movies in our back yard while my friends were tearing up the streets on their big wheels. On my sixteenth birthday I went to the movies to apply for a job before even thinking about a drivers license. Shortly after I got my first glimpse of a real working projection booth. The next 20 years I would spend operating and installing projection and sound equipment all over the eastern half of the country and training others to do the same. My passion however has always been the drive-in. Ironic that I would be the last projectionist at the very same drive-in that introduced me to the movies as a child. The Dixie Gardens closed forever in 1989. Even though my dream of owning one of these classic theatres will probably never come to fruition, I get to do something even more fun...show hollywood hits under the stars for family, friends and neighbors in my very own drive-way. Best part is, it's never far to go when I have to carry the kids up to bed, tuck them in and kiss them goodnight.....

Making plans to replace the screen which was damaged late in 2019. Due to the virus we’re waiting till next spring. The new screen will be much larger!See you all in 2021 🎬🎥

Not sure when we’ll get back to showing movies again. A wind storm damaged our screen last year and I’m looking for a replacement. Hopefully by mid summer we can get things going again.
