Hello friends of Swan Dojo. We would like to address something that continues to occur and is problematic. Some of us like to smoke. Sadly, we don't live in Europe. It is illegal to smoke on Church St. Those who do can be fined. Businesses who allow any amount of people, especially larger groups to congregate in front of the business to smoke can ALSO get fined as well as get into worse trouble and more importantly, this type of behavior puts us on the radar as not being cooperative participants on the marketplace. Additionally, we wish to respect our neighbors and continue to have a good repor with them.
Don't despair! You are in luck, because if you walk about 100 feet you can smoke all you want right at the end of Church St. It's not far!
We agree that this is a silly rule. It would be even more silly if we had to add fees to our rent to have added security just for this purpose. We know that our community is clever and awesome and can understand how important this small request is, please help us make it happen by reminding folks if they forget.
